What’s New: 10th September 2012

During the last few days, we’ve rolled out a bunch of small improvements to Hojoki.

Mobile app updates
We published a new Android version of Hojoki (the iOS version will follow very soon). It includes added usability features like pull-down-to-refresh in the feed as well as performance enhancements.

Twitter integration
Twitter was one of the first integrations in Hojoki and it has worked the same ever since its inception. Lots of you loved the way the integration let you monitor your own or (more often) your company’s Twitter feed (we use it for having all @hojoki tweets in Hojoki). We’ve now enriched this with mentions, retweets and replies. This gives you a far better idea of what’s going on with your Twitter account.

Bugfixes
We had a stability sprint last week. This means that we’ve been busy under the hood fixing bugs in the UI and with several integrations. For example, there was a weird bug which would delete a comment while you were typing it if a new activity for the same object came in.

We’re planning to release new integrations this week so stay tuned!

Hojoki just got social: Discuss your work as it happens

The whole Hojoki team worked like crazy in the past weeks to bring you this major new feature today: Hojoki Discuss. It’s a super simple way to communicate with your team mates based on your Hojoki feed and the fastest way for you to give feedback.

Collaboration in a nutshell

As soon as you see one of your co-workers’ activities, you can now reply directly. You can choose to send the reply to whoever performed the update, to all your collaborators on that file/event/etc or enter recipients individually.

What happens with my reply?

The people included in your discussion get notified via email by Hojoki and can answer directly into your Hojoki newsfeed. This works even if they don’t have a Hojoki account. We want to make your life as easy as possible, while not being disruptive to the workflow of those you work with.

Client support

Hojoki Discuss is available for all Hojoki clients, this includes web, iOS and Android.

Workspaces

Workspaces are your team space for discussion and sharing. They’ve been available in the webapp for a while and now are included in the mobile apps as well. If you work in a stable team and need more structure and control, workspaces are for you.

You can read about details of how this works in our knowledge base or try it out now at my.hojoki.com.

Yummy, welcome Yammer!

Let’s continue with this fast pace of new feature releases. In fact, we just started a wave of new integrations.

After launching Salesforce’s enterprise social network Chatter last week, we’re proud to include Yammer into Hojoki as well. Those of you who are using Yammer in some of your projects, will now see new postings or comments in your Hojoki feed as well.

Combined with Hojoki’s workspaces, there are even more possibilities as now you can share and monitor different Yammer groups separately. If you use Yammer for communication with clients for example, you could privately discuss this communication with your own team in Hojoki.

Of course, as for all integrations, we send you push notifications whenever something new happens in Yammer. If you wish, Hojoki notifies you of all new content in your Yammer network.

As always, I’m looking forward to your feedback!

What’s New: 3rd August 2012

Today’s update brings you two new nifty features. First of all, we’ve launched Chatter, our newest integration. We have it featured here in another blog post. Second, we’ve polished the emails Hojoki sends you. They look a lot prettier now, while still being clean and minimalist. We like them a lot and hope you like them too!

Chatter joins your Hojoki feed

Chatter Hojoki Robot

Every now and then, we hear from people about how they love Hojoki’s functionality to show them what’s happening in their productivity apps but cannot use our collaboration features due to their team members using a different tool for collaboration. To help people out with this, we’re going to make it so that you will no longer miss anything in these 3rd party tools. To achieve this, we’ve started to integrate them.

Saleforce’s Chatter is the first of these apps to be integrated into Hojoki. You’ll be able to see all your posts from Chatter as updates in Hojoki. As always, we deliver push notifications to your mobile when there are new updates in Chatter and they are also included in our daily catch-up emails.

You’ll only ever be one click away from jumping straight over to Chatter to post your thoughts on an update. You can set up workspaces in Hojoki to automatically add the content of certain groups from Chatter. This will help your team use Chatter in combination with Hojoki’s integrated apps, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote and Basecamp.
